3D Zombie

Decided to see if I could do a high poly sculpt of the zombie I painted earlier. This is stage one and two. First the low poly mesh and then the first pass on the high poly sculpt. The low poly mesh is a little over 500 polys.

Dont have the final poly count for the sculpt yet. More stages to come...

Cyberguy Revisited...

I wasn't particularly thrilled with the first color sketch I did of this guy. So I decided to take another pass at him and go more monochrome blue.

I Love Post Its...

Give me a pad of Post Its and I will doodle all day long... I blame storyboarding, cause it was so convenient to make quick corrections or continue a scene with a Post It rather than completely redraw a panel.

Monochrome Hard Brush...

This was a weird little sketch in that I used a hard brush for everything, mostly me experimenting with something completely different from my pastel-ish style I normally use.

Zombie Finale...

Finally got around to finishing it all up. Again a lot more than a sketch, but it was fun to do. Click on it for a closer view of the carnage.

Something 3D-ifferant...

Got a trial version of Mudbox, and thought I'd give it a whirl. This is about a 350,000 poly mesh sculpted with a Wacom tablet, however it started as a 24 poly cube. I sub-divided it 7 times and then reshaped, pushed, pulled, smoothed and made it into this head. Yeah I know it needs ears...

Zombie Update...

Its a work in Progress this week. I am gonna post it as I work my way through it and hopefully finish it before the week is up. Trying to do a "Rembrandt" style with deep van dyk brown shadow areas and hi contrast light areas. We'll see if it holds up and stays within my plans.

More than a Sketch this time...

I decided to post a conceptual piece I did today, its a weird looking PlatyFish creature. My next step is to build it in 3D, do a high-res sculpt and texture it too. I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to start building it tomorrow.

Click on it for a much higher res view of it...

Mondays sketch is finally up...

Surprise, surprise Skull number two...

Weird Painter Experiment

Sometimes liquid ink and pastels are not kind to each other. I think thats what happened with this weird sketch...
