Texturing Started...


Getting the colors roughly laid in treating it like an under-painting stage, setting up my layers with color choices and making decisions about the level of damage/gore to implement.

Mech-Soldier Concept...

The Mesh is Finally Done...




Yep, I finally finished the high poly sculpt, created the normal map (this one is 1024x1024), and even started some hair tests. What you are looking at here from top to bottom is the low poly mesh (683 polys), then the wire frame, then the low poly mesh with the high poly generated normal map, and finally my first hair test. Up next... I'm gonna paint the diffuse map and then the specular map...

Pea Green Figures...

I used "pea green" as the color for these figures, although it looks a little muted. I've had a bunch of freelance stuff come up so I haven't been able to do much more than figures this week. I'll try to get some more fun stuff up later on in the week...

Red...

Quick Graphic Painting...

I used a reference image and then over-painted it in limited tones that I painted in grey and then added a gradient adjustment layer to colorize the tone levels.

Skirty Figures...


I am currently using a 2B Pencil to sketch my figures, I then scan it in and invert the image and colorize it to whatever color looks good. Still using my $4 sketchbook to draw in, and its actually got a nice tooth to it.
